Join O-HITEC
Funded by a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technlogy, OCHIN established Oregon’s Health Information Technology Extension Center (O-HITEC) to provide a suite of free and low-cost services to help Oregon’s primary care providers achieve federal “meaningful use” of their electronic health record.
Through O-HITEC and strategic partnerships with the Oregon Health & Science University and the Oregon Medical Association as well as the Oregon Academy for Physicians and several independent provider associations, OCHIN is deploying robust assistance to facilitate successful implementation, and meaningful use of certified electronic health records to ensure that a significant percentage of eligible Oregon providers receive up to $64,000 each in incentive payments from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Membership in O-HITEC is free. All subscribers receive dedicated, personal consultation designed to assist with EHR product review and selection, configuration and installation of the chosen system, and support to ensure practices achieve and attest to meaningful use of their EHR system.
